As a long-time dentist in the Highland area, Dr. James LoCascio understands the struggles that failing and missing teeth create for his patients. It’s no fun when you go out to eat with friends of that special someone and you have to pick and choose from the menu.
Plus, it’s embarrassing to be so self-conscious of your damaged smile that you find yourself practicing a “closed-lip” smile or hiding your mouth behind your hand when you smile or laugh.
Because Dr. LoCascio and our team understand these challenges, we love it when we’re able to help a patient enjoy new-found confidence. It’s thrilling to us when we see a patient leave our office with a full set of beautiful and functional teeth.
We know that patient is going to have a better quality of life, feel more self-assured, and be able to eat all their favorite foods again.
If you’re in a similar situation as many of our patients, and you’re tired of living with teeth that just don’t do what they should (or maybe you don’t have any natural teeth left), we can help you get your smile back with a full-mouth reconstruction.
You might be asking yourself, What is a full-mouth reconstruction? This procedure is exactly what the name implies. Dr. LoCascio and our team can rebuild your mouth so that you can feel confident showing others a full smile and eat whatever you want off the menu.
Your Needs Come First
When you come in for your initial consultation, we’ll perform a thorough dental exam, plus we will most likely take some digital X-rays so we can get an up-close look at all the details inside your mouth – remaining teeth, roots, bones, and nerves.
Plus, we’ll listen intently as you tell us what you’re looking for. What is it that you’d most like out of your full-mouth rehabilitation? Are you wanting a beautiful new smile you can show off to your friends and coworkers? Would you like to say goodbye to a bland diet of tasteless foods?
Whatever it is you want, we can help. We’ll work with you one-on-one to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and budget. Our services have helped literally thousands of patients over the years, and we can do the same for you.
Understand Your Options For a Full-Mouth Reconstruction
Our team offers many ways to rebuild your smile and make eating a pleasure again. For many of our patients, dental implants are the best way to replace missing teeth and give you back your biting and chewing power.
Dental implants are artificial teeth roots that Dr. LoCascio will insert into your jaw where you have missing teeth. Over time, new bone material will actually begin to grow around the implants in a process called osseointegration – your bone and the implants will become one.
Implants can support a variety of replacement teeth, depending on your needs and goals. We can replace a single tooth with an implant-crown combination or several teeth in a row using an implant-supported bridge.
We can even give you back complete arches of teeth with an innovative procedure known as All-on-4®. This treatment uses just four implants per arch to anchor a full row of beautiful and fully functional teeth. One of the aspects of All-on-4® that our patients love most is that they can get their implants and new teeth all in one day.
That’s right! We can place your implants, then secure a set of temporary full-arch teeth that you’ll be able to use immediately. You won’t have to wait to get your new teeth. You’ll simply return to the office after your jaw has healed and your final restorations have been made.
Our team can also secure a new set of dentures to your implants. Using either a system of snaps and balls or a sturdy bar, we can anchor your new dentures in place. They will stay put and won’t slip around when you’re talking, eating, or laughing. Plus, you won’t have to worry about using any denture adhesive.
We Offer Options Besides Implants
However, maybe dental implants aren’t right for you. Although implants are more affordable than ever, perhaps you’d like a more budget-friendly option, or maybe your jaw simply isn’t strong enough for implants.
We also offer conventional dentures at Highland Advanced Dental Care. Depending on your needs, you can choose between full dentures or partial dentures. Full dentures replace a full arch of teeth on either your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. You can get partial dentures if you still have some healthy teeth remaining. They will clasp in place to your other teeth.
If you only have one or a few missing teeth and you don’t want implants, then a fixed dental bridge may be what you’re looking for. We can have a new bridge made that will fill in a gap left by several missing teeth in a row, anchoring to your other teeth for support.
No matter what type of treatment you opt for, we’ll use some of the latest dental technology to help you, including digital scanning for precise restorations. Your dental care will be in good hands with Dr. LoCascio and our team.
