Dr. LoCascio attended Wayne State University for undergraduate work and then went to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, graduating in 1981. Since then, he has continued to stay atop of the latest training and research. He received advanced dental implant training at the Misch Implant Institute, holds a fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and took courses in advanced restorative dentistry (including TMJ and bite issues) from the Pankey Institute for Continuing Dental Education. He is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. His latest achievement is learning the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique from Dr. Chao, a gum recession treatment that is much less invasive and time consuming than traditional surgical procedures. Dr. LoCascio was the first general dentist in Michigan to be certified in the technique.
Dr. LoCascio started as a dental associate in Detroit before joining a group practice in Waterford, MI. But he felt a group practice didn’t give him the freedom and flexibility needed to give the care his patients deserved, so he opened his own dental office in Waterford in 1997. He moved his practice to Highland ten years later and has been in Highland Township ever since. He has been in dentistry for 35 years and estimates he has worked with more than 75,000 patients.
Dr. LoCascio loves being able to help patients get the smiles they have always dreamed of. When not working, he spends his time traveling with his wife, golfing, fishing, hunting, playing poker, and playing with his three grandchildren.
