Sometimes general dentistry or restorative care isn’t enough to keep your teeth healthy and beautiful. In those cases, oral surgery in Highland may be required. Dr. LoCascio of Highland Advanced Dental Care has decades of surgical experience in a variety of procedures. He’ll explore every option and recommend the best one to get your smile back on track.
By letting Dr. LoCascio perform your oral surgery procedure, you can:
● Restore your oral health and prevent future dental problems● Make eating easier so you can enjoy your favorite foods again● Relieve your pain so you can relax again● Boost your self-esteem when you see a beautiful smile in the mirror

Keep Smiling With a Wide Selection of Surgical Procedures

We don’t just offer one or two oral surgery services for our patients. Whatever your smile requires, we have you covered with:
● Dental Implants – To make your smile healthy and attractive again, Dr. LoCascio can insert titanium implants in your jawbone, providing a strong base for many restoration options.● All-on-4® Implants – With this procedure, your dentist can give you a full arch of beautiful, fixed replacement teeth using only four sturdy implants. Best of all, you can walk out the same day with fully functional temporaries until your permanent restoration is ready.● Tooth Extractions – We will always try to save your teeth if possible. However, sometimes we find a tooth so badly diseased or damaged that extraction is necessary to protect the health of your other teeth and mouth.● Gum Recession Surgery – The Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique involves making a small pinhole where your gums have receded. Dr. LoCascio will then gently expand the gum tissue to cover more of your teeth. He doesn’t have to use a scalpel or sutures, so your recovery time will be minimal.
If you’re nervous about your surgery, we offer safe inhaled sedation to calm your nerves. It will help you relax and may make you feel euphoric, but the effects will go away quickly after your proce

Common Questions About Oral Surgery

  • When do you need oral surgery?

A common reason we perform oral surgery is to extract a tooth that is too damaged to save or is causing dental problems. We also remove teeth for dentures or other restorations. In addition, Dr. LoCascio can place dental implants in your jaw to replace missing teeth. He also repairs receding gums with a procedure called the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique, a less invasive alternative to a gum graft

  • Is oral surgery covered by insurance?

Medical insurance often covers oral surgery that is considered medically necessary. Diagnostic services such as X-rays may also be covered. We can help you determine which services may be covered by your insurance plan. If you don’t have insurance, your options for financing oral surgery include CareCredit financing.

  • What can I eat after oral surgery?

It’s a good idea to stick to soft foods and liquids for two or three days after your dental surgery. Avoid temperature extremes and spicy foods. Good choices include soup, yogurt, protein shakes, and pudding. For a few weeks, you’ll want to avoid foods with seeds, foods that are tough to chew, acidic foods and beverages, and spicy foods.
