There is no need to live with gaps in your smile. Missing teeth not only affect your appearance, they make it difficult to eat properly and speak clearly. You run a higher risk of developing gum disease and injuring the soft tissues of your mouth. Your remaining teeth may come out of alignment and drift into the empty spaces.

Happily, at Highland Advanced Dental Care, we offer a full range of tooth-replacement techniques, from dentures to dental implants to All-On-4 dental implants. Whatever your budget, whether you need to replace one tooth or all of them, we will give you a gorgeous, fully functional smile.

Dental Implants Perform Like Real Teeth

You can’t get your real teeth back, but you can get dental implants — the next best thing. A dental implant is the gold standard because it mimics natural teeth so perfectly in appearance and functionality.

A dental implant is a titanium tooth root that’s surgically implanted into your jawbone. Over time, it fuses with the bone, which gives it total stability. An abutment and artificial tooth are permanently attached to the implant after it’s healed.

A dental implant looks, feels, and works just like a real tooth. There is no need to file down neighboring teeth, as is necessary for getting a bridge. When you have a dental implant, your biting force goes into the jawbone, which helps prevent bone deterioration.

All-On-4 Dental Implants Replace a Full Arch

If you need to replace a full arch of teeth, you can still reap the benefits of dental implant technology. Replacing many teeth with individual dental implants would be impractical and expensive.

All-On-4 restores your smile with just four dental implants. For this procedure, Dr. LoCascio will place four dental implants into your jaw. He will then attach your new teeth the very same day. That’s right — unlike with regular dental implants, you don’t have to wait months for your mouth to heal before getting your replacement teeth.

Traditional Dentures Are Better Than Ever

Conventional dentures remain an excellent option for many patients. If you’ve suffered bone loss in your jaw, you may not be a candidate for dental implants. Dentures are also far less expensive than dental implants, but they do an excellent job of restoring your beautiful smile.

At Highland Advanced Dental Care, we offer full and partial dentures. A full denture replaces an entire arch of teeth, while a partial denture replaces less than a full arch.

Our dentures are created by attaching gorgeously lifelike artificial teeth to a gum-colored mold. They fit precisely and are comfortable to wear.

Dentures with Implants

At Highland Advanced Dental care, we offer more secure options for keeping your dentures in place.

If you choose Implant-retained dentures, several dental implants will be surgically inserted into your jawbone. The abutment uses a ball-and-socket system to keep a set of dentures in your mouth. The dentures snap easily in and out, and chewing is much more akin to chewing with real teeth as the biting force is delivered to the jawbone. The dentures are completely secure. Unlike with traditional dentures, there is no risk of them slipping, sliding, or falling out. Because they don’t require a denture mold that covers your palate, implant-retained dentures are more comfortable, enable you to taste food better, and won’t impede speech like conventional dentures sometimes do.

Implant-supported dentures are similar to implant-retained dentures. You will have a few dental implants placed in your jaw. Once they are healed and well fused to the bone, they will be topped with a beautiful, custom-made set of dentures. With implant-supported dentures, however, we use a curved bar attachment rather than ball and socket. This means you cannot remove the dentures yourself. But you will be able to eat like normal, not worry about your dentures moving or sliding around, and brush and floss like you always have.

Temporary Dentures

Permanent dentures are custom crafted for your mouth’s dimensions. This means it can take some time for them to be manufactured. Does this mean you have to walk around with no teeth in the meantime? No!

We can make you a set of temporary dentures to wear while you are waiting for your permanent set. You will be able to eat well and smile with confidence.
